BEST OF THE BRITISH BRED AT BADMINTON GRASSROOTS CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE BE90 CLASS

The winner of our £1000 award for the breeder of the highest placed British bred horse at Badminton in 2022 is The Lordship Stud. Placed 2nd, the winning horse was Lordships Graffalo by Grafenstolz out of Cornish Queen by Rock King (photo credit - Hannah Cole Photography). His rider, Ros Canter, says that she is proud to be riding such a talented British bred horse.

Circus Standing Ovation wins the award for the highest placed British bred horse in the Grassroots Championships BE90 class. He was bred by Lesley Fowles and ridden by Penny Clews. By the advanced event stallion Jigilo, whose sire was the famous Jumbo, his mother line goes back to Shaab xx - another great eventing sire.

BEST OF THE BRITISH BRED AT BADMINTON GRASSROOTS CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE BE100 CLASS

‘Mill House Kann Eye’ winning our award for the highest placed British bred horse in the Grasssroots Championships BE100 in 6th place. He was bred and ridden by Kirstie Wright, and is by Kannan. Kannan being the only show jumping stallion to have led the WBF rankings, and is the sire of Nino des Buissonnets, the Olympic Show jumping champion in 2020.Â
