Competed interbranch, gained A Test as a member of the Portman Pony Club. First serious job involving horses was with Lord and Lady Hugh Russell who were at the forefront of competitive horse trials, during her four years at Wylye Geri helped organise the first Midland Bank Horse Trials and subsequently worked as show secretary at the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead.
Met husband Ferdi Eilberg while working in Germany and returned to the UK with him in 1980 to set up the Dalgety Spillers Dressage Foundation. The family moved to Pink Green Farm in Worcestershire where since 1984 they run their own coaching and training establishment. Geri is in charge of admin and general day to day organisation. Both children Maria and Michael, like their father, have represented GB on World and European Nations Cup Teams. Geri's interest in breeding started in 2009 and particularly enjoys her involvement in the education of their homebred horses.
