Susanne Shultz

Susanne is Professor at the University of Manchester, following a Royal Society Fellowship at Oxford and a PhD from Liverpool. Her research explores how animals respond to environmental and social challenges, including through biomarkers developed by university spin-out AlvuSana.

She has published over 120 papers across more than 20 species and works with the IUCN Equid Specialist Group. Her passion for equine gut health stems from her competitive equestrian background.
