World Horse Welfare Logo

World Horse Welfare (WHW)

We believe that every horse matters. Not just in moments of crisis or distress, but every day.
It is this belief that drives our work to put the horse at the centre of how we think, care, act, ride and legislate for their welfare.

KONEKKT

KONEKTT and the British Horse Foundation share a conviction that a horse's welfare is shaped across its whole life, and that it starts long before the horse is ever ridden or raced. The BHF brings more than three decades of research and education in breeding, youngstock and development. KONEKTT brings the tools to record how horses are cared for every day.

Our partnership goes beyond sponsorship. Over the years ahead we will work together to put the Knowledge Hub's guidance into daily practice on yards, help build an evidence base that supports research, and champion Better Beginnings across every discipline. Lasting change in welfare takes time, consistency and collaboration. We are committed to all three.

British Horse Society

The breeding challenge award, produced by the BHS with assistance from the BHF, brings together expert knowledge and advice to prepare you for breeding a foal from your mare. It is broken down into three easy to digest sections; the pregnant mare, foaling and what to do once your foal is on the ground. Whether you are considering breeding from your own mare or just want to find out more about breeding horses in general, these challenge awards are a great place to start
